What's going on, everybody? A little different scene here today. I didn't want to do this one from the car. I wanted to take some notes and talk about my experience this past weekend and Las Vegas the whole week.
I spent four or five days in Las Vegas doing the Grant Cardone 10x Growth Conference 2023. I had a fantastic time. Then, not only the people you meet but also those at the event presenting. I mean, just unreal. And it's something I suggest for business owners if you're looking for direction or focus.
I think anytime you get around that many people in that type of environment, that type of room, all thinking similar mindsets, thinking about trying to improve themselves, trying to improve their business, I think it's only for the better, and, you know, for somewhat of a fraction of a cost something.
Most businesses can make up in a week or two, which is super important. So I was going to talk through all the different people I saw speak and talk a bit about what they talked about because I saw a ton of value in it during my time there.
The speaker lineup was insane. Cathie Wood from Ark Invest. Who looks at the future, the perspective of the market. A holder in Tesla talked about robots, A.I., and many techs and the end of what business could look like in 10, 15, and 20 years.
You had Stedman Graham, Oprah's partner, talk about Identity Leadership. How do you have to change yourself to change your business. Fixed mindset and growth mindset. where do you sit? How do you improve, and are you a leader in your environment and work?
We had Dana White, which was unbelievable. I started following him long ago as part of the UFC, but always fantastic to hear his story and talk about poor timing. He even said his slap league, which spoke about the holy shit moments and his business both in the UFC and Slap league. So very interesting to hear him talk about his concept and content and his move to other video platforms and, you know, the diversification of where he wants to be in his business.
You had Robert Herjavec for Shark Tank. Talk a lot about his story, where he came from, his family, where they were from, and his big message was investing, you know, invest in yourself, and be, you know, the best version of yourself.
You also had Pete Vargas, who was part of the 10X family. A bit more of a pitch, but the power of communication, management of doing this outreach, getting in front of as many people as possible, and trying to. Please share your message in a cohesive word. , knowing your elevator pitch, what goes into that, how it works, and how you format it.
So obviously, you know, you could take a ton of stuff from that. You also had Megyn Kelly, you know, how people view their lives through lenses. Based on experience and life events, a very polarizing figure in the TV space. She said she worked for almost every significant network out there but probably is most known for her strong opinion. You probably her stint at Fox News, but overall, just very interesting and very well-spoken, as you can imagine. So it was great to hear her talk.
You had Gary Brecka, who's an absolute beast. He started bra or started a healthcare company and then converted it into 10 X Health—so part, again, part of the ecosystem of Grant Cardone, but an exciting concept. , and how to take a more organic approach to your life, not be, you know, held up and restrained within, you know, the pharmaceutical world. So that was very interesting. He consistently receives a ton of great feedback. And praise from a lot of these people.
Dana White was part of the program. Grant Cardone's a part of his program, and then they talk about how it's changed their life and what they do daily to help improve their health. If you can't have health, what's the point of having all this money and trying to accomplish all these goals?
You also had Kevin Turner talk about his differentiating factor in business. He was at Citadel, Walmart and ran IT for a couple of companies as well—a brilliant mind.
And then, to wrap up the day, there was Stephen A. Smith. How much bigger can you get than that? He's gone on his book tour right now, getting in front of as many people as possible. I've started to see him on many podcasts, so great to see that. , but great to hear him kind of talk. It's a very different approach to what he usually talks about on tv. His growth, where he came from, the bring it mindset and proving people wrong. And I thought that that was, you know, very beneficial for me. , in a space where some people didn't know I could do this. He also talked about the bootstrap it yourself mentality resonated greatly with me.
The next day. You had to kick off Joe De Sena, and I'm probably butchering most of these names, who started Spartan Races, talks about his life through Spartan races and why he started it. and then also obviously his journey through Covid and trying to, you know, keep this alive again, resonated a ton with me just being in the experiential space, pretty much shutting down during Covid and how it's revamping now and, and, you know, what that means for the industry and. You see, he has a mentality called RI, excuse me, fire, ready, aim, you know, take action first. Learn from what happened. Apply it the next time you do it, then aim and shoot again. Again, like very action-oriented, now is the time to accomplish this, you know, urgency, which I really appreciated. , commitment to your goals was a theme throughout. Both, you know, grant talked about; Joe talked about, you know, most of these guys talked about was this, you know, having such a decisive goal, a powerful way in business and life to try and achieve some of these goals. And again, that resonated throughout the entire, through everybody that gave a speech.
Then you had Jesse Itzler and Sarah Blakely. Sarah Blakely was responsible for her spanks. Jesse Itzler was the owner of. God, I hope I don't mess this up. Basketball, Atlanta Hawks, and then also started Marquis Jet. So two very successful people. They talked about their relationship, and their goals, you know, provided a very different aspect of the conference when it focused more on the kind of the relationship, you know, with your partner. , you know, Nothing that I can apply today. But, you know, some good notes and, you know, just relationships in general.
Then the two keynote speakers were insane. You had Mark Wahlberg and Tom Brady. If you have yet to see it, Mark Wahlberg has a TV show on HBO called the way called Wahl Street and, kind of dives a little bit into his background, what he does, how he does it, all his different businesses, and how he keeps things organized and his family structure and, you know, if you're in business, I think it could be very beneficial to watch, also, exciting to see how he does it, why he does it, and all that kind of stuff. So he talked a lot about discipline. Then believe in what you're doing, your product, your processes, the people behind your business, and truly living your brand. So, of. That was awesome as a business owner, something you can relate to.
Finally, Tom Brady. It's Tom Brady. What else can you say? he was little, which I thought was great. It saw a cool different side of him that you never see before. He was, you know, very common language swearing, just being very relatable, you know, in his message and his experience. Playing football obviously as a whole, but also his experience, you know, playing in New England. And, you know, what made him successful, why he did it, believe it if he says what you think about yourself is how others see you again. A compelling message and anybody can take and resonate with it.
The other aspects of the seminar or the conference included masterminds and breakfasts that were very beneficial networking opportunities. At lunch, at breakfast, you had you, the mastermind, the final day, which was, you know, probably one of the best. You got a one-on-one with Grant's team.
Much pitching going on, not going to lie, but. also, a lot you can read between the lines. You don't have to take, you know, the entire thing. But if you can read between the lines of some of the things they were saying, it could be very, you know, mighty.
, you had T Payne perform one night. You had DJ Esso perform one night, and then you had Nelly perform for the v I P party. So there was, you know, entertainment everywhere. There was something to do every single night. If you still need to find. People that you resonated with networking, then you ultimately did it wrong.
I'm not a person that likes to walk into a big room and go up to every single person. Hi, how are you? My name's Andrew, and I got out of my skin in this and was. You know, networking with as many people as possible. When you put yourself in a situation where everybody's trying to achieve the same thing, and it's growth, it's the best version of yourself for your business.
, and in life, it's a different mindset than other conferences that might not have a similar thing. But I mean, you're sitting in some of these rooms with, you know, hundreds of millionaires, millionaires, people just starting, so they. The balance is all over the place, which I find very beneficial.
Small enough that I ran into a lot of the same people multiple times and was able to grow friendships over the course of the week. You ran into enough different people to meet someone new every minute. , so yeah, it was very beneficial for that as well.
These things are what you put into them. These conferences are what you put. . If you don't try, if you don't walk around to meet people, if you don't want to hear a message, you're not going to listen to it. So I found much value in, like I said, not only the networking, but these people, you know, you listen to every single person's story.
What resonates through each person? And then what resonates, you know, by itself. You can take and apply it to your life or your business, apply to, you know, whatever aspect of life you're looking to improve. So if someone is interested in going to this, yes, but you have to be open to receiving the message.
If you will walk in there and shut out, this is Grant Cardone. He's fucking crazy. I want nothing to do with them; you won't get anything out of it. If you walk in with an open mind saying, Hey, this could be cool. I might get something out of this. I'm open to learning. I'm available to meet new people.
And you go out and try, try for that, try to achieve that goal. You can achieve it. , it was in Vegas, with so many distractions going on, but you are jam-packed every day. If you want to be jam-packed every day or learn something every day, you can learn something every day.
So, you know, I found it, found it very beneficial. The way I do these goes through the whole conference and then on the plane ride home, I kind of. You see, I want to bring the points into my life and write a list at the end. And right now, I got, you know, 30 questions that I need to ask myself over the next 24 hours, 48 hours to help realign, you know, my business and what I want to achieve.
, I'll probably share what I will take from it. It's not, not starting over but rebuilding the found. , I got so busy with work and needed more in, you know, creating the foundation of the actual business. So, you know, coming back to the goals, coming back to where you want to be in five years, ten years, 20 years, and rebuild the foundation for what do I want to achieve Providing, like, you know, once you provide that launchpad, any spaceship can take off.
According to SpaceX. , so, you know, I'm, that's kind of what I'm going to take a lot of from this is rebuilding the foundation for launch point and, you know, something that, you know, things I want to achieve over the next five to 10 years. So yeah, I found it super beneficial. Reach out to the email address, and everything's below.
, if you want to, you know, ask any specific questions, but happy to talk about it even more. , I think that's it. Make sure to subscribe; like looking to grow this YouTube channel and provide more value to people that are starting agencies, have agencies, or are small business owners, and if anybody has any suggestions, I would love to hear them, or you want to hear something about, you know, the marketing space, which is what my, specialty is in.
I'm more than happy to share those with you. , this channel after this week is going to be, you know, more structured in providing feedback for what I do and how I do it and why I do it, and why I think you should do it, and how I think you should do it. , as opposed to just briefly discussing the week and the whole.
, and trying to focus on the value I can provide for other people through my learnings. Megan Kelly said it is the voice of people unwilling to speak. And, you know, I would want to do that for business owners out there and feel that, you know, you might be going through a crazy part of this journey. Still, it gets better or can be better on the other side once you achieve the goals in between.
That would be beneficial. Again, like, subscribe, comment below, and tell me what you think. If anybody was at 10 x drops, I appreciate everybody listening and stopping by.
