What is going on, people another week down in the year? It's crazy. January. We're done. February 1st is what, on Wednesday of next week? Pretty wild. Um, it's. I have been, been another great week in the books. As an HC owner, I learned a lot this week. I had some milestones and, uh, overall, a busy week.
Uh, many events coming up, which is fantastic. Great to see events coming back online. Um, post-pandemic. Also, great to see, uh, you know, work, just picking back up. It's been an exciting year thus far. Um, but just excellent, fantastic, to try new things, do new things.
And expand as an agency with a growth theme this year. It's something that the month of January has brought a lot, many opportunities. So, uh, a couple of like key learnings this week. One of them is surrounding yourself with people you don't usually speak around or listen to.
Uh, whether that's, I guess, not necessarily people, but can be ideas, especially when it comes to the marketing side of things. I, uh, have a business. I did a CMO for hire, hire sort of position now, and it's great to sit with that person once a week for 30 45 minutes and just talk about marketing, strategy, and what I need to be doing.
Uh, it's nice to get out and talk about that. And without that person, I wouldn't be doing or learning about some of the ideas and concepts I don't think I would be doing. Um, so that's been super helpful. Also, on the other, Um, especially with YouTube as well.
So this is where I post a lot of this content on YouTube. Someone reached out to me and said, Hey, I can run your YouTube channel. We do X, Y, and z, X, Y, yeah, X, Y, Z. And it was like, damn. Like I, I can do that and know how to do that. Why am I not doing that? So I implemented a new marketing strategy for the YouTube channel.
So that's been beneficial. So it's just exposing yourself to things you might not be disclosed to, concepts you might not be aware of. And just, you know, taking in as much information as possible. And there are going to be different ways that you can implement that into your business.
Depending on what you're doing, whether you're, you know, in the marketing world or, um, I know I have many insurance people on here, or whether you are, uh, an independent salesperson. So there's a bunch of things that you can do to help tailor, you know, help change your ideas, help transform your thoughts.
Um, you know, only some things are going to work. So definitely test, retest, and try new things as you're going about your ideas, kind of like the main thing I've learned this week. The other was a little bit of a pickle financially and, uh, got; I'm, I'm well out of it.
There's nothing to worry about if you're part of the company or a partner. It was, uh, we were, we've been so busy with these larger scale projects and more significant scale come with, you know, which come with a more considerable scaled cost. Uh, some that came out of nowhere but came on weeks' notice instead of months.
And so, being fiscally able to fulfill these projects was a challenge this week. It took a little bit of navigating, so if you're a business owner, just be aware. I would, especially as you know you're getting to different levels and scopes.
Uh, just always be aware of the available financial products. I found a great one that is relatively inexpensive and is going to help me, um, you know, solve my short-term kind of pinch that I'm in. Uh, I was. Alone, a good amount of money at a relatively, reasonably low rate and could do so in under three days.
So, just be conscious of kind of your, you know, you have to look ahead, what's, what obstacles might I be facing in the next six months? So, soft plan for them. That way, you always have an answer. Future. That way, you always, um, you know, can get out of challenging situations. I always have a, b, and C plans for my work.
Um, you know, a being the perfect scenario, B being a scenario where I'm, you know, something, you know, I'm going to have to get heavily involved or something that I have to do, or something that, um, you know, it takes a little bit more effort and. Lead plan C is kind of just like the, oh fuck, here we go, plan. Um, so yeah, I would just definitely, as you're, you're entrepreneurial, as you plan on expanding, growing, always kind of run your scenarios through A, B, and C of what you might be facing in the next six months, three months, one month, um, I think could be super helpful and beneficial for many people out there.
So those are like the couple things besides that we work well. It's been very steady working on a lot of long-term projects. Right now. We have seven different events in the month of February, so we are very excited. Uh, some of which are going to be pretty big. So I'm pleased about that and more to come.
I am, uh, I'm at the grocery store now to get a little shopping done, so enjoy the rest of your Sunday, and, uh, I'll talk to you all next week. Have a good one.
