Week two-day life of a marketing agency owner, a small business owner in Denver, Colorado. I hope everybody had a wonderful week out there. Come to you in week two. Uh, this week was a little bit interesting, and it was a little quieter than last. Figured out many things. I got much work done when it came to kind of the logistics and war, running the company and working on the company and getting just projects kind of, you know, crossed off the bucket list.
So did, uh, last week was very productive as far as the kind of like overall. Um, I got a lot done right. Um, you know, from the outreach side of things. I got more done there. I think one of the biggest lessons I learned, and one of the things that I want to work on any part of this video, or the video is, part of it is the exposure package I want to create for this year and just kind of getting myself out there and meeting more people and having more people know who I am so I can work with them.
I did a webinar with Cody Kins, who's a very popular YouTube, especially in the insurance space, right before the holiday break, and it was very successful for my terms. At 40 people attended, 17 converted to, um, the email list, uh, which was awesome. He just recently, and I also just recently reposted the course on YouTube, uh, which was fantastic.
So I, his view last I saw was a couple of hundred views, and it converted a lot better. We had got, or I got, 13 more email addresses out of it, or 14 now email addresses out of it. And it just shows exposure. His video got hundreds of views, and my video only got single-digit views.
A much smaller channel. So I think it just shows the power of exposure and what's truly capable when people know who you are and gets to know about you and, and learn about you, and kind of gravitate towards you as an expert in the space, whatever that space may be. So if you're a small business out there trying to figure it out and get in front of people, start with an exposure plan for what you want to achieve; that's probably the most important thing.
Again, as a marketer, that's something that I'm trying. On trying to get better at, uh, just because of what I told you, suitable? You have to have people know who you are to work with you, whether that's in a sales space, whether that's in, you know, a marketing space, or whatever your product is. You're a small business owner, uh, you know, kind of whatever, whatever area of the realm, the realm you're in.
The other thing is trying to find the balance and the atmosphere where you work best. This week I just signed up for, not just signed up, I signed up for a WeWork office space again to the exposure plan, and that's part of it. And on the other side, I'm trying to find a dedicated workspace where I can be more productive.
Uh, I work from home, probably like many of you. Trying to create a business, get a product, or work for a company at home. And then, just the distractions are endless. Uh, coming from a sports background, it's essential for me to get myself out of, you know, what everyday life is and try and set myself in a different space where, um, you know, mentally, I can be more productive.
You know, it's like putting on a jersey, putting on a, you know, your suit every day to walk into the office, right? You carry a different personality, or I shouldn't say different, but an about yourself. And that's very important, whether you're, you know, working as a small business or working as, as a, as an employee.
So those are a couple of things I learned this week. And, uh, my weekly agency review is a little on the new business front, which is a bummer. I lost one project, which was enormous, and very bummed about that, but I learned a lot about the process and what I can do better next time too, uh, to, uh, to win that project in the future.
